Maggie Machen Lamy, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology) (Telemedicine Services)
Maggie provides echocardiogram and electrocardiogram interpretations, including treatment, diagnostic, and follow-up recommendations. She is available to Dr. Masloski and staff for direct consultation on each case. Dr. Lamy and Pam are also in contact for every echocardiogram performed at Mass Veterinary Services. Pamela Harrigan, Registered Diagnostic Sonographer
Pam is a registered sonographer who provides mobile echocardiograms and ultrasound exams to veterinary practices. She comes to our hospital every week to perform echocardiograms and ECGs. Since entering the field of echocardiography when it was newly emerging, Pam has been involved in all areas of cardiac ultrasound: clinical practice, research, education and publication. Experienced with both adult and pediatric patients, her clinical affiliations have included Mass General Hospital and Lahey Clinic, as their lab technical director, and as a consultant in special projects at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation cardiac ultrasound laboratory. In addition to authoring and co-authoring echocardiographic scientific papers, manuscripts and book chapters, she has published a textbook on cardiac ultrasound, Principles of Interpretation in Echocardiography. Her publications have earned several awards from professional societies.
She has served as an associate editor of the journal of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, and is a past member of the executive board of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as well as the American Society of Echocardiography. She directs a two-year school of echocardiography and has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally.
For over 15 years, her work has been focused in veterinary medicine, both clinical work and teaching/training ultrasound. She has participated as a member of faculty at the ACVIM Forum Annual Scientific Meeting. She also participates in and directs veterinary ultrasound seminars nationally and internationally.
